I was mesmerized by the way the roses seemed to tumble through the arrangement alongside delicate blooms, trailing branches, and layers upon layers of greenery.

Instead of focusing on a realistic rendition, I chose to use expressive marks to highlight the abundance and movement.

The title, Look At All Those Fancy Clothes, is a nod not only to the event that inspired this painting, but also a play on the feeling the flowers evoke. In a sense, they're all dressed up too.
